San Bernardino shooting
The San Bernardino, California shooting took place on December 2, 2015, when Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik opened fire at Farook's workplace, the Inland Regional Center targeting municipal health workers attending a Christmas party. Both perpetrators were killed, along with fourteen other people. Twenty-four others were injured. Farook also placed an explosive device at the scene but it was safely detonated by a bomb squad. The couple, who led police on a chase, wounded two officers during a gunfight. Farook and Malik appear to have been inspired by ISIS.
