Islamic State-Sinai Province
Islamic State-Sinai Province (also ISIS-Sinai Province and ISIS-Sinai) is an ISIS branch and active Salafi-jihadist terrorist group operating in Egypt. The group seeks to expand ISIS’s activities in the Sinai Peninsula. Since 2014, the group has carried out more than 500 attacks, primarily against Egyptian security forces, according to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI).
