Crusaders

Crusaders is a term used by Islamists to refer to any Western presence in the Middle East, though it is most often used to refer to the U.S. In addition, anti-Muslim extremists in the United States often refer to themselves as Crusaders or use imagery from the Crusades. In 2016, for example, members of a small militia group known as "the Crusaders" were arrested for plotting to blow up an apartment complex in Kansas that largely housed Somali immigrants.
