Buffalo shooting
The Buffalo, NY shooting took place on May 14, 2022, when a white supremacist gunman opened fire at a Tops supermarket, killing 10 people and injuring three more. Before the shooting, the gunman espoused violent racist and antisemitic views online. He also posted a 180-page manifesto detailing his reasons for the shooting, including the antisemitic Great Replacement conspiracy theory. He also attempted to stream the shooting on Twitch, but it was taken down. In court following his arrest, the alleged shooter, identified as 18-year-old Payton S. Gendron, from Southern Tier, New York, pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and was ordered held without bail.
