Ali Kourani
Ali Kourani is a member of Hezbollah's "Islamic Jihad Organization" branch who was sent to New York City in order to conduct surveillance of potential attack targets, including critical infrastructure, airports, federal buildings and even daycare centers. Based on terrorism, sanctions and immigration convictions, Kourani was sentenced to 40 years in prison in December 2019. He was the first Islamic Jihad Organization operative to be sentenced in the U.S.
