Abdel Aziz Rantisi
Co-founder of Hamas along with Sheikh Ahmed Yassin. Rantisi served as Hamas's political leader and opposed any cooperation with the Israeli government, instead insisting that the only acceptable outcome was the establishment of a Palestinian state including the entire territory of Israel. Rantisi was killed April 17, 2004 in an Israeli missile strike.
