Winston Shrout

Winston Shrout is a prominent sovereign citizen guru whose videos and seminars attracted thousands to the anti-government extremist movement in the 2000s. He also played a role in exporting ideas of the sovereign citizen movement to several other countries. He was convicted of using fictional financial instruments in connection with a debt elimination scheme in 2017 and sentenced to 10 years in prison.
