Germar Rudolf

Germar Rudolf is a German-born Holocaust denier. He authored works such as Auschwitz Lies: Legends, Lies, and Prejudices on the Holocaust and The Rudolf Report, the latter of which denies the existence of gas chambers at Auschwitz. This report resulted in Rudolf’s sentencing to prison in 1995 in Germany for its incitement of hatred, disparaging the dead and libel. He was eventually brought to trial in 2007, during which he referred to the Holocaust as a “gigantic fraud. He served time for this sentence from 2007-2009. In 2019, he was arrested in Pennsylvania for indecent exposure.

In his words:

  • “In view of these gigantic fluctuations in the Auschwitz victim numbers, I would just like to point out first that there has obviously never been agreement about how many people actually died in the camp. Besides, it is publicly admitted today that lies were told for tendentious reasons. The “official” number of the dead...is now reduced to 20-30% of the original “official number...but this has not resulted in any correction of the total number of Holocaust victims. - Lectures on the Holocaust, 2005
  • “Scholars who claim that huge numbers of people were secretly murdered at Auschwitz simply do not know what they are talking about. They are obviously unfamiliar with the layout and daily routine, ignorant of the objective reality of the situation” - Lectures on the Holocaust, 2005
