Blood drop cross

The blood drop cross, also called Mystic Insignia of a Klansman (MIOAK), is the primary symbol for KKK groups. It appears as a square white cross in black outline against a circular, red background. In the middle of the cross is what appears to be a drop of blood. Klansmen believe the symbol represents blood shed to protect the white race.
