Unite the Right

Unite the Right was a two-day event in August 2017, where hundreds of white supremacists marched in Charlottesville, Virginia, to protest the removal of a statute of Confederate general Robert E. Lee from a local park. Violent skirmishes broke out and one counter-protester was killed when white supremacist, James A. Fields, rammed his car into the crowd.
