Rodney Coronado

Rodney Coronado is a longtime spokesperson for the extremist environmental and animal rights movements in the United States. Coronado was involved in the firebombing of an animal research laboratory at Michigan State University (MSU) in 1992 and served over three years in prison for aiding and abetting arson. Coronado was affiliated with the ardent environmentalist group Earth First!. After his release from prison, he defended his activity, including his involvement in the firebombing incident at MSU. In 2004, Coronado was indicted in Arizona on a felony charge of conspiracy to impede or injure an officer for attempting to disrupt an effort by the Arizona Game and Fish Department to capture and kill mountain lions in Sabino Canyon near Tucson.
