Inspire Magazine

Inspire Magazine is the flagship English-language publication of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP). The first edition was released in June 2010, and it has since been cited as a key source of inspiration for many domestic and international Islamist extremists. It was also one of the first Al Qaeda publications to promote the concept of "open source jihad," or lone wolf attacks using everyday items as weapons (i.e. using a pressure cooker to create an IED).

This database provides an overview of many of the terms and individuals used by or associated with movements and groups that subscribe to and/or promote extremist or hateful ideologies.
